Biophilia

This work emerged from timeless wonder—I exist at the same time as trees! I can dig my feet into the sand one second, and wash it away with salty ocean water the next. I was inspired by how we can bask in the sun and kiss under the moonlight all in the same day. “Biophilia” is an exploration of the earth, and is my way of expressing gratitude for being alive. I created biomimicry-inspired webs of nature modeled after naturalistic colors. This artwork depicts biophilia, “a desire or tendency to commune with nature.”
